Which currencies can I pay with?
You can select USD, CAD, AUD, EUR or GBP from the menu in the lower-left corner of your screen. Your order will be processed in the currency you choose.

Where are your shirts made?
Our classic shirts and hoodies are made and printed in Truro, Nova Scotia, Canada at the legendary Stanfield's clothing factory. We believe in keeping business local to support our community. Truro also happens to be the birthplace of Canadian 'ukulele visionary J. Chalmers Doane and just up the road from 1879 founder James Hill's house. Local, local, local!

Where are your tote bags made?
Our tote bags are made in the USA by Royal Apparel using 100% organic cotton. The bags are screen-printed by hand in Nova Scotia, Canada at the  Stanfield's clothing factory.

How long will it be until I receive my order?
Your order will be shipped within 2-3 business days. We use Canada Post for our deliveries and delivery time will depend on your location, but will typically be between 4 to 8 business days. Once an order is shipped you will receive email confirmation with a tracking number. Please allow 10-20 business days for international orders. Please expect delays due to the impact of COVID-19.

How do you ship?
We ship using Canada Post, with rates of $9-13USD for most locations. Typical shipping times range from 2-8 days for orders shipped within Canada, up to 10-20 days for some international destinations. Service options depend on your location, and may include:

  • Standard Expedited Parcel Service
  • Express Parcel Service
  • Tracked Packet International
  • Xpresspost International

International shipments may be subject to import taxes, customs duties, and/or fees imposed by the destination country. These charges are typically due once the package arrives in the destination country.

Do you offer free shipping?
We offer Free Shipping over $100 for all orders within Canada and the USA. Free Shipping is eligible for orders of a subtotal of $100 or more (before taxes and after any discount codes). This is automatically applied during checkout if you qualify.

How do I become a brand ambassador for 1879?
If you're interested in becoming an ambassador for 1879 Apparel, send us an email at info@1879.co. Let us know your relevant social media handles (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, TikTok) and why you think you'd be a good fit to represent the brand.

What is your Return Policy?

We're not happy until you're happy. If you need to return or exchange an item, we're happy to help. We ask that the item be unused, unworn, and in the original condition with the packaging (if applicable) that you received it in within 30 days of purchase. Unfortunately after 30 days, we are unable to process any returns or exchanges.

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If your refund is approved, your refund will be processed and a credit will be automatically applied to your original method of payment within 3 to 6 business days. Shipping costs are non-refundable; the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.
